Funktion Wave Pumps

The Funktion Wave Pumps are a range of compact high performance wavemakers complete with digital controller designed to move large volumes of water. The open puck shape allows the dimensions to remain compact and be as unobtrusive as possible in the aquarium whilst delivering a broad even flow.

Featuring three separate adjustable wave functions and a constant flow mode the pumps can be set to suit all types of aquarium including reef, fish only and freshwater aquascapes.

Water-proof magnetic mounts allow the pumps to be positioned simply and securely anywhere on the aquarium glass or weir. The internal mount is fitted with a soft cup shaped jacket preventing noise through vibrations and allowing the angle of the pump to be easily changed.

The high efficiency low voltage motor combined with hard wearing ceramic bearings offer low running noise, low heat output and energy efficiency.

Suitable for salt or freshwater use.

Included Fish Guard

Complete in the box with all pumps in the Funktion Wave range is an optional guard to mount on the back of the pump. Suited for aquariums where smaller fish are housed or invertebrates such as anemones are in risk of positioning themselves near the pump inlet.

Creates a steady flow that runs continuously giving a prevailing current and good movement in the open water areas of the aquarium, adjustable on the digital controller between the minimum and maximum power settings of 30 and 100. Ideal in a reef situation when multiple circulation pumps are in use, mixing this flow pattern with pumps running pulse, wave or random programs can ensure good flow throughout the aquarium. Also suited to planted aquariums or fish only aquariums where constant flow is beneficial.

A constant wave output is created as the pump ramps up and down between a minimum and maximum power setting giving a sine wave effect. The frequency and power settings can be changed on the controller to adjust the length and size of the wave. This flow pattern will create a gentle wave simulating deeper reef or calmer lagoon environments making it ideal for more LPS or soft coral dominated aquariums.

Der Controller erzeugt ein völlig zufälliges Wellenmuster, das ein chaotisches Riffumfeld mit ständig wechselnder Strömung simuliert. Die Pumpe wechselt automatisch in unterschiedlichen Zeitabständen zwischen konstantem, gepulstem und Wellenmuster und passt dabei ihre Leistungseinstellungen an. Ideal, um Detritus aufzuwirbeln und ihn anschließend durch Filtration zu entfernen.

Die Pumpengeschwindigkeit wechselt zwischen niedriger und hoher Leistung und kann zur Erzeugung stehender Wellen genutzt werden. Frequenz und Leistung lassen sich am Controller einstellen. Der Pulsmodus eignet sich besonders für Korallen, die energiereiche Wellenmuster bevorzugen, wie sie beispielsweise auf dem Riffkamm vorkommen.
