The caves are ideal hiding places for fish and the donuts are ideal as an opening in a reef wall to swim through or as an entrance to a cavity in the reef.

Much more importantly, however, the bacterial coating turns LifeRocks into revitalized live rock. The biofilm, which consists of permanent stages of different bacterial strains, enables transport and storage in a dry state.
