The aquarium is made from crystal clear, low iron, high purity glass and features a bridgeless design, allowing for a clean and modern presentation with easy access for maintenance.

The tank's wider than it is tall design creates a balanced aspect ratio, greatly improving the viewing experience and allowing for easier and more natural aquascaping and coral placement.

In order not to disturb the flow patterns in the tank and to avoid an unattractive eye-catcher, the "invisible overflow box" of the Reef-Pro models was developed. This guarantees perfect functionality without disturbing the aesthetics of the aquarium.

The dual pipe overflow system allows for virtually silent operation, while the use of the DD UltraFlow overflow comb allows for maximum water flow without increasing the water level in the aquarium.

The Reef-Pro cabinet is extra tall to perfectly balance the aspect ratio of the aquarium. It is built for DD in the UK, ensuring consistently high quality.

The top, bottom and front structural supports of the cabinet are made from 36mm thick panels, making it extremely stable and offering excellent load bearing properties. The Reef-Pro vanity cabinet behaves like a piece of furniture, so please be aware that as with any piece of furniture, any spilled or standing water must be removed from the surface immediately to avoid damage.

The cabinet's extra internal height provides plenty of room for the use of larger equipment and makes maintenance easier. Access is further facilitated by removable quick-release double-hinged doors.

When installing an aquarium, it is of utmost importance to create a level floor, as unleveled cabinets can place additional stress on the glass and result in uneven water levels in the aquarium. The DD Aquarium Cabinet is equipped with heavy-duty adjustable feet that allow for complete leveling of the cabinet and aquarium.

The ultra-quiet double pipe overflow system is further refined through the first section of the sump, resulting in a quiet water return with no splashing or gurgling. When using filter socks (option when ordering), the water then overflows into a double filter sock section fitted with a diffuse silencer plate to reduce any water noise.

The Reef Pro aquariums come standard with a ClariSea compatible sump from which the filter sock assembly can be removed and replaced with a ClariSea unit if required. This can be done even if the aquarium is already filled with water. The main overflow line supplied runs directly into the ClariSea inlet port, so no cutting or modifying of the pipes is required.

After the water passes through the pre-filter, it flows into a large equipment chamber. This chamber can house equipment such as skimmers, media reactors, calcium reactors, etc.

The last section is a return pump chamber, which sits next to the integrated water collection tank.

ClariSea ready

As mentioned in the above section, the DD Reef-Pro range comes standard with a ClariSea compatible sump and pipework, allowing the ClariSea units to be easily installed without any adjustments or modifications.

The ClariSea fleece filter is an ultra-compact, patented, high-efficiency water filtration system that continuously removes suspended particles such as microalgae, detritus, food, organic waste and gravel dust from the water column to improve water quality and clarity. The ClariSea design is continually being developed and improved and is suitable for use in marine and freshwater aquariums as well as fish breeding and coral propagation facilities.

It is therefore possible to initially specify the filter sock device when ordering, which can then be easily removed at a later date and installed by the ClariSea (without tools!).

The DD Reef-Pro aquariums come with a 3D printed flow generator and a wide outlet nozzle attachment that allows the flow out of the sump to be directed and adjusted to the needs of your reef.

All DD Reef-Pro aquariums are equipped with the Ultraflow overflow grid to allow maximum water flow through the overflow without excessively raising the water level in the aquarium. The overflow grid maintains a high flow at all times and allows the use of larger recirculation pumps with a higher flow rate.

The DD Ultraflow overflow comb is designed with a unique arrangement of vertical and horizontal drainage slots that allows approximately 30 to 50% more water to flow through the slotted sections than a normal vertical overflow without affecting the water level.

For maintenance purposes, the grille can be easily removed and cleaned.
