CAPABILITY

calibration

The Vectra™ can be set to automatically calibrate to your tank. As a return pump, this intelligent feature prevents back-siphoning when the pump is turned down and also maintains a neutral flow condition when in return mode.

ESL via mobile device

All Vectra™ pumps are compatible with ReefLink. Reeflink provides completely wireless access to the world of EcoSmart® Live, EcoTech Marine®'s web-based aquarium command center.

battery backup

Snowstorm. Hurricane. A driver crashes into a power pole. Things happen. The power goes out... Vectra pumps are compatible with the EcoTech® Battery Backup accessory.

FLEXIBLE INSTALLATION

The Vectra pump comes with QuickCouple components. These assembled couplings provide the flexibility to make installation, cleaning and adjustments a breeze. The Vectra also features the ability to rotate the pump's spiral to suit your plumbing needs.

  • Easy connection
  • Quick setup
  • Quick disassembly
  • British standard pipe threads

VECTRA MODES

RETURN PUMP MODES

Constant speed

Constant Speed mode is the Vectra's default mode. This causes the pump to produce flow at a constant speed determined by the position of the dial.

feed mode

At the push of a button, the Vectra pump temporarily interrupts the current mode and idle, allowing food to be added to the tank without it entering the overflow and filtration.

speed limit

The speed lock gives you the option to set a desired speed on the pump by deactivating the dial, thus protecting against unintentional and not entirely unintentional speed changes.

CLOSED-LOOP MODES

Lagunenrandom

Lagoonal Random mode simulates a lagoon environment with low energy consumption. The speed of the pump is slowly changed to replicate the gentle currents of a lagoon.

reef crest by chance

Reef Crest Random mode simulates a high energy reef environment. The pump changes speed frequently and drastically to simulate crashing waves and rising tides. This is a favorite of the SPS coral.

Gyre

Gyre mode creates a flow pattern consisting of uniform clockwise and counterclockwise flow levels that pulsate at a selected interval between two seconds and two hours.

A constantly growing ecosystem

You've invested in your ecosystem with the smartest and most powerful EcoTech® equipment. Now unlock the true potential of this system with just one app on your smart device.

COMPATIBLE WITH BATTERY BACKUP

In an aquarium without current, fish and corals can die after just 4 to 10 hours. The Battery Backup is reef aquarium insurance in an aluminum housing.

By adding battery backup**, your tank is protected from power interruptions, helping to protect your valuable investment – and your tank inhabitants.

*Hours are estimated and will vary based on battery life, pump mode and other factors.
** For best performance in the pump back configuration, a Vectra Battery Backup Booster is required.

THE VECTRA ADVANTAGE

  • cost-cutting measures
  • Active Feedback
  • Quiet operation
  • controllability

Conventional AC pumps, when used as a return pump for your sump, are flow controlled through the use of a throttling valve. This method of control is inherently inefficient for two reasons. To provide flexibility, the AC pump purchased often needs to be overloaded for the particular configuration, and adding an artificial impedance to your flow wastes power. The Vectra pump always operates at optimum efficiency because it does not require a flow limiting valve to achieve the desired flow rate.

When used with ReefLink, your Vectra pump can send you performance and status alerts directly to your mobile device or computer. Your return pump is the heart of your aquarium; the faster you learn of an unexpected problem, the more successful you will be as an aquarist.
