Ingeniously simple dosage

Simply place BACTO BALLS in the filter every 2-3 weeks. Our polymer matrix, which is stable in seawater, allows the bacteria to be released into the aquarium slowly and in a controlled manner. This avoids daily dosing and unwanted dosing peaks.

Dosage:

• Every 2 weeks, add 2 BACTO BALLS / 100 liters to a flowing area of ​​the filter, ideally in a filter bag or sock
• Start with half the dosage when using for the first time
• For aquariums without skimmer technology, quarter the dosage
• If necessary, the amount can be doubled

Special composition

The unique composition of the carrier material was developed specifically for use in sea water. Normal jelly acts as an additional carbon source and thus dissolves more quickly, making controlled release impossible. The composition of the bacteria was specifically developed for the needs of reef aquariums and ensures a stable and species-rich bacterial culture. Excess bacteria serve as food for corals and protozoa or are skimmed off.

BACTO BALLS contain live bacteria that live and are perfectly protected in their gel shell.
After opening, store the can tightly closed in a cool, dark place. Use opened BACTO BALLS within 6-9 months.

TIPS:

• Make sure that the balls are not placed near the suction of a pump
• BACTO BALLS slowly dissolve when they come into contact with water over the next 2-4 weeks. During this time, natural bacteria and a highly effective enzyme solution are introduced into the water.
• After adding BACTO BALLS, the performance of your skimmer may increase significantly. This is the first sign of increased nutrient degradation.
• By adding or removing BACTO BALLS you can determine the exact needs of your aquarium.
• A general dosage cannot be given due to the individuality of the aquariums and their population.
• We recommend that you start with half the recommended dose and gradually add more BACTO REEF BALLS until you reach the desired levels.
• Check this by testing the water regularly.
