MAX NANO Concept
MAX NANOs come equipped with everything needed to maintain a reef aquarium, so you don't have to worry about component selection or compatibility. Every device integrated into the system was developed based on Red Sea's 30 years of research into the needs of corals in artificial environments, resulting in optimal coral growth and coloration.
MAX NANOs are ideal for beginners who want to experience what it is like to grow their own corals, as well as advanced reefers interested in a tank that does not take up too much space or time.

The ReefLED 50 has a light intensity and spectrum that is 100% utilized by the corals, making it 100% reef safe and 100% REEF-SPEC.
The heart of the ReefLED is a compact LED array that provides a reef-safe range of REEF-SPEC light through a separate 23,000 Kelvin REEF-SPEC Blue channel (consisting of an optimal combination of ultraviolet, violet and blue LEDs) along with an 8,000 Kelvin White channel.
Additionally, it features a separate 3W moonlight channel to provide the lower levels of light for reef-safe night vision.
ReefLED is controlled by Red Sea's ReefBeat ® app, which offers a wide range of easy-to-use features such as random clouds, acclimation for new installations, and a lunar cycle for moonlight.
The custom mounting system attaches securely to the back wall of the tank and can be swiveled into the upright position during reefscaping or other tank maintenance. The REEFER™ Peninsula Deluxe comes with a custom-built hanging system for the ReefLED ® lights.
Movable ReefLED arm
The LED unit is permanently bolted to the aquarium and can be rotated to allow easy access to the rear technical compartment for any regular maintenance requirements or for reef design.
MAX NANO protein skimmer
The rear technical compartment, fed by a unique surface skimmer that directs water to a custom micron filter sock, houses a silenced REEF-SPEC protein skimmer, a 950 l/h/240 gph Sicce return pump and 100g of REEF-SPEC activated carbon to keep the water crystal clear.
The heart of the filter system is the protein skimmer. The NANO skimmer implements Red Sea's REEF SPEC criteria for SPS corals and passes the entire volume of aquarium water through the skimmer approximately three times per hour and with a water-to-air ratio of 3 to 1.
Automatic refill
An automatic refill unit with a 1.5-litre fresh water reservoir (hidden behind the sieve above the technical tank) ensures a constant water level and is sufficient for approx. 3 days of evaporation.
circulation pump
The Sicce return pump with 950 liters per hour circulates the entire system water volume about 10 times per hour.
