The NYOS® OPUS® G2 series are ready-to-use reef aquariums that meet the highest standards of quality, functionality and aesthetics. We also paid attention to important details that make the difference. The special design puts the aquarium itself in the background. This means that nothing distracts from the most important thing: the reef experience.

Clear glass edges

In order to distract as little as possible from the reef experience, only transparent silicone is used in the main aquarium.

Three sides with ultra-clear glass for brilliant colors

Both the front window and both side windows are made of ultra-clear glass. Compared to conventional glass, ultra-clear glass has a much weaker green tint, so that the colors of fish and corals appear much more contrasting and vibrant.

Hidden Overflow

The Nyos ^® OPUS ^® G2 has an external drain shaft embedded in the rear pane, which sits flush with the rear pane of the aquarium. The fact that there is no annoying drain shaft in the aquarium creates additional space for aquascaping. The rear pane can also be kept clean easily and without complications.

The Nyos® OPUS® G2 is designed as a pool. There are no annoying side or cross bars in the aquarium.

Deep blue painted rear window for realistic depth effect

The back panel of the aquarium is in a precisely coordinated, very dark shade of blue. When the aquarium lighting is switched on, this creates the perfect illusion of a realistic underwater world with a sense of depth.

Perfect aquascaping dimensions due to extra depth

In reef aquariums, depth is of particular importance for a successful reef construction. The Nyos® OPUS® G2 is therefore equipped with extra depth so that spectacular reef constructions can be realized.

The Nyos® OPUS® G2 is available with either the Pro-Line® or the Slim-Line® base cabinet.

Both base cabinet models are characterized by the following features:

Robust design

Both base cabinets use moisture-resistant carrier plates in accordance with EN 312. Thanks to a durable melamine resin coating, the surfaces are extremely scratch and impact resistant. In addition, the base cabinets are also lined with waterproof foam

Sustainable and resource-saving

The wood used in the Nyos® OPUS® G2 base cabinets comes from verified legal sources according to ISO 38200 and is manufactured in FSC® certified factories. The legal limits for formaldehyde emissions are significantly exceeded. All base cabinets are made of 30% recycled material and 45% co-products (leftover wood from the sawmill industry). This results in a low carbon footprint.

Comfortable with greater height

Compared to the first generation, the Nyos® OPUS® G2 base cabinets have a greater overall height, making working in the base cabinet more comfortable. The doors can be conveniently opened using the integrated push-to-open system.

aesthetics and design

With the Nyos® OPUS® G2 base cabinets, we paid particular attention to functional and aesthetic design. The surfaces have a melamine resin coating and are of timeless elegance and simplicity.

Available in two attractive colors

In addition to timeless white, both base cabinet types are also available in modern basalt grey. Both colours are characterized by a matt finish.

Clear, space-saving PVC fixed piping

PVC piping offers greater safety and durability compared to hose installations. The piping can be installed in just a few steps and is designed to be particularly space-saving.

Simplified technical tank with generous filter chamber

The generously dimensioned main chamber can accommodate several devices such as a skimmer, fluidized bed filter or algae reactor at the same time. The main chamber has a constant water level of approx. 21cm.

The Nyos® OPUS® G2 includes a nylon filter sock. This is designed for longer periods of use.

Adjustable, quiet drain and additional emergency overflow

The Nyos® OPUS® G2 has a drain with an adjustable valve. This makes it possible to minimize drain noise. An emergency drain is also included as standard.

Separate XL refill tank with extra large capacity

The 50 cm high refill aquarium with a volume of 22 liters provides a supply of evaporation water for about one week.

5-chamber principle

Chamber 1: Settling chamber for the return water from the main aquarium.

Chamber 2: Filter sock that filters dirt particles from the water.

Chamber 3: Main filter chamber with constant water level. Skimmers and other filters such as a media reactor (Nyos® TORQ®) can be installed here.

Chamber 4: If required, a filter sponge can be inserted into the narrow chamber between the main filter chamber and the return chamber as an additional bubble trap.

Chamber 5: In this chamber, the water is returned to the main aquarium via the return pump. Since the water level in the return chamber varies, the sensor for automatic refilling should be installed here.
