NYOS® PhytoMaxx is a highly concentrated phytoplankton product from professional aquaculture. It contains fresh, live Nannochloropsis algae measuring 2-5 µm.

PhytoMaxx is manufactured in cooperation with a highly specialized biotechnology laboratory according to our specifications under permanent quality assurance and control. A state-of-the-art photobioreactor technology tailored to the respective algae is used. The living algae are carefully harvested using special centrifuges, effectively cleaned and then processed in sterile seawater. Such standards are usually only used in professional aquaculture. The result is an extremely clean, living microalgae biomass that has no bacterial contamination whatsoever. PhytoMaxx is free of artificial colors, preservatives or antioxidants. It is highly concentrated and contains 500 million fresh, living algae cells per ml. Due to the sterile production conditions, PhytoMaxx is almost odorless and can be kept refrigerated for up to 6 months. In the aquarium, Phytomaxx is the ideal live food for, for example, Tridacna mussels, sponges, filter feeders or soft corals.
