The product is pigmented with non-toxic colors to replicate the most beautiful crustaceous coralline algae produced by Mother Nature. Real Reef is not home to pesky or parasitic algae, invertebrates and unwanted roommates. Wild live rock is naturally covered and impregnated with unwanted pests and decaying organic matter. In most cases, wild live rock is not alive, having died during the ship passage across the Pacific. Real Reef provides the aquarist with a clean, biologically active rock that compensates for all the problems of wild live rock.

Real Reef Rock is made from 100% natural, ocean-friendly ingredients. Its ingredients are made from the same building blocks that make up wild coral and living reef rock. The ingredients are not taken from the ocean, so there is no harm to the environment.
