The individual ingredients used to produce Real Reef Rock are not taken from the sea, so there is no negative impact on the environment or on existing coral reefs and the marine habitat. No reefs are destroyed or live rock broken up to produce Real Reef Rock.

How is Real Reef Rock made?

Real Reef Rock is made primarily from mineral additives and sand, but more than 13 steps are necessary to make the ecological reef rock look like natural reef rock. Natural calcium-based binders are used and no chemical or synthetic epoxy resins or adhesives are used. Each individual piece is made by hand.
