The Reeftank system aquarium offers a good and solid basis for the successful and easy operation of a beautiful saltwater biotope. This elegant system not only differs from many conventional aquariums due to its rimless design, but also impresses with a very high-quality, powder-coated base frame, which sets standards in terms of stability, functionality and durability. The steel frame is cladding to create an elegant and timeless piece of furniture using waterproof plastic panels (Vekaplan S integral foam panel) into which magnets have been embedded for attachment. To improve ventilation inside the cabinet, the rear aquarium pane, where the drain is located, remains unclad.

The weak points of other system aquariums, such as: incompatible technology, rusting hinges, swollen wood and loud drainage noises, were taken into account when planning this system aquarium in order to exclude these errors right from the start and to be able to provide the customer with a system that simply works.

The aquarium is made of float glass. All glass components are made of float glass - Made in Germany -. This guarantees stress-free glass panes of the highest quality, which are very resistant to scratches. The view into the aquarium remains unobstructed for years. To conceal the backpack overflow, the long side of the pane where the backpack overflow is located is painted black.

The Reeftank base frame consists of a 40 mm steel frame, which has been primed and powder-coated twice. All base frames of the Reeftank system aquariums have a load distribution plate made of 19 mm screen printing, which is attached to the underside of the steel frame. This optimally protects your floor from localized load damage. Another screen printing plate on the floor of the interior of the cabinet serves as a clean support surface for the filter system. It lies on the inside of the frame of the steel frame. A screen printing plate is also attached to the top of the steel frame. This means that the aquarium stands on a flat, water-repellent base surface. Thanks to this design, an absolutely stable stand is guaranteed, which excludes stress damage to the glass. The material is 100% seawater resistant.

For optimal functionality, the load-distributing plate protrudes 9 mm beyond the frame. This means that the door panels always have a flush support surface. The annoying appearance of hanging doors is now a thing of the past.

Every Reeftank system aquarium has a backpack overflow on the rear aquarium pane. The backpack overflow is 10 cm deep and 30 cm high. The length depends on the length of the aquarium. An overflow comb is deliberately not used, as this becomes clogged over time and causes the water level to fluctuate. For this reason, the overflow in this system aquarium is realized via an 8 mm wide drain gap, 4 cm below the top edge of the tank. This ensures optimal surface suction and effectively prevents a film of scum. Fish and other organisms are also protected from getting into the shaft. Cleaning is kept to a minimum. A clear and clean appearance is guaranteed at all times.

The system has a drain and an emergency drain (55 mm hole for 40 mm PVC fittings). This enables absolutely safe operation and protects you from inventory damage caused by water overflowing from the aquarium. The inlet is via a hole (34 mm hole for 25 mm PVC fittings) in the long side of the aquarium next to the backpack overflow. In this way, holes under high pressure in the base plate are avoided. This provides additional safety.

With the Marine Box, the Deltec system offers you a filter solution that is individually tailored to your aquarium and impresses with its well thought-out design and easy operation.

The water flowing out of the aquarium first flows through the fleece bed filter of the Marine Box, which removes coarse dirt particles. The pre-filtered water then enters the chamber of the UV clarifier, which effectively kills floating algae and bacteria, thus ensuring crystal-clear water. After UV clarification, the pre-cleaned water enters the chamber of the skimmer, where unwanted proteins and other organic substances are separated.

After the water has left the skimmer chamber, it flows through the media filter chamber. This chamber contains the media filter, which you can fill with different filter materials according to your needs. For example, you can use activated carbon to bind odors or filter cotton for fine filtration.

The purified water then flows from the media filter chamber into the chamber with the feed pump. The feed pump then transports the purified water back into the aquarium. Both the return pump and the skimmer pump are infinitely adjustable and run very quietly. An integrated refill storage tank with automatic refill ensures that your aquarium is always supplied with fresh osmosis water.

The Marine Box controllers are conveniently located on top of the Marine Box so you can easily reach and operate them. All cables are neatly routed and the power plugs are labeled. The Marine Box is made of robust PVC and has a clearly visible front panel. The covers are also made of transparent PVC so you can observe the filtering process at all times.
